HAVlife™ Foundation Announces Choice for President and CEO

Kimberly Guy, of Davenport Iowa, has been selected as the new President and CEO of the HAVlife™ Foundation.

“This is so very exciting for HAVlife™ and our mission of service,” says Mike Vondran, Founder of HAVlife™. “Kim has served as a Board Member for several years and our Board Chair for the last three years. I can’t think of anyone else who would be better for this new leadership role. Her passion for HAVlife™ and our mission is remarkable,” says Vondran.

The HAVlife board of directors unanimously selected Ms. Guy as its first leader at their annual meeting in November.

“Kim has served HAVlife™ and its mission so very well that it was only natural she be selected as our first President/CEO. We look forward to growing and expanding our service to youth with her day to day leadership,” says Cal Werner, the new HAVlife™ Board Chair. Vice Chair Dale Zude agrees, “Our board is over the top excited for our future of service with Kim at the helm. We are an active and involved board, but there is so much more that can be accomplished with full time vision management.”

HAVlife™ Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization, founded in 2007 in memory of Hunter Aaron Vondran who passed away at the age of 13 as a result of an accident locally. Hunter’s Father Michael, Mother Brenda and older Brother Baron Vondran wanted to find a way to honor Hunter’s memory through service to community. Thanks to the generosity of friends and community the HAVlife™ Foundation was established and is focused on providing participation support to at risk youth ages 10-15 year old throughout Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. HAVlife™ now has 3 chapters of service: Quad Cities, Tri-States (Dubuque) and Johnson County (Iowa City).

Kim assumed her new role earlier this week, her office will be located within the TAG building at 230 East 2nd St. in downtown Davenport. She can be reached at 563-676-1830 and by email at kimg@havlife.org.
